Thickwood Hills Adventures is made up of buildings, land, wildlife and local people. Come visit or stay with us!

Main Lodge

This loghome was built from western, red cedar wood. It features a beautiful high vault ceiling, a library, an area dedicated to wellness & healing and is heated by a wood fire stove.

Workshop, Retreat & Guest Suite

This space is a separate dwelling from the main house. It has a bedroom, living room and large kitchen overlooking the garden area. The workshop space within the suite is a secondary, large open concept room that is  carpeted, heated and has easy access to the kitchen and bathroom facilities. A perfect spot to host a retreat or workshop.

We have designated areas where you can come camp with your trailer and/or tent. Interested in visiting? Call us to arrange your visit! *note: only summer camping is currently available.

Heating & Solar

Solar panels overlooking the lake. We are thankful for the sun working its magic in conjunction with these panels. Our power is mainly supplied this way along with a backup generator.

Each winter wood is stocked and fed into a furnace to provide heating to the buildings on the property.

Land & Garden

The land is located in the Aspen Parkland & Thickwood Hills Ecoregion. Our open fields and large lake are surrounded by a beautiful forest. We often spot wildlife coming to visit.

There is a large garden area filled with fruit bushes and delicious vegetables in the summertime.  In addition, we have a medium sized greenhouse that we are always experimenting in. We garden using permaculture principles and always look forward to the eating the abundance at  harvest time.
